Children's Liturgy

Children’s Liturgy Committee
Under the direction of Fr. Bob, parishioners on this committee help plan and facilitate liturgies and masses designed for school-aged children.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word, celebrated during the 9:30 am Mass, is a parallel celebration to the Liturgy of the Word portion of the Mass, geared for children aged 5-12.  Children attend Mass  with their families, then leave after the gathering rite to their own sacred space led by members of the Committee.  The children then hear the Scripture readings for the day in a simpler form and take part in a reflection of God’s Word with practical application to the their young lives.  They return to the assembly to celebrate Eucharist with their families.

Children’s Masses are celebrated on the last Sunday of the month.  Children may sign up to participate in a variety of ways, including being readers, greeters, gift bearers, and choir members.
New committee members and young participants are always welcome to join us!
