Marketing Committee Charter
This MARKETING COMMITTEE CHARTER is made as of 4/1/2009 by and between the HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION of the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION SCHOOL.

I. Mission
The Marketing Committee shall be responsible for promoting the school to both potential families as well as current families with the goal of both attracting new students and maintaining low attrition rates.
II. Committee Members
The committee will be made up a chairperson, co-chairperson, media manager and a graphic artist.
III. Name
The name of the body will be "The Marketing Committee".
IV. Term
The committee will be formally in place during the school year.
V. Meetings
Meetings shall be monthly during the school year. Additional meetings may be required if determined by the Chair to be necessary for reaching committee goals. All regular monthly meetings shall be scheduled prior to the school year and made known to all committee members. Meetings may be rescheduled if agreed upon by members of the committee.
V. Meeting Attendance
The Chair and Co-Chair are required at all meetings.
VI. Scope/Roles and Responsibilities
- Create a plan early in the year for the development and execution of a school marketing plan.
- Work with the HSA board to review and get approval for any new initiatives.
- Assist other committees in promoting their events and help in producing mailers and/or flyers.
- Using video and audio technology the committee should be prepared to attend major events to gather artifacts such as photos, videos, etc. to develop brochures, mailers, etc.
- Develop or enhance all current logos or emblems for items such as sportswear for athletic teams of for school spirit wear, logos for HSA and school letterhead.
- Assist other committees if brochures or marketing efforts are needed for their individual event.
- Work with the web site coordinator to utilize web technology to market the school to prospective families.
- Recommend initiatives in the area of paid and unpaid advertising for the school.
- The committee shall be responsible for working with the school staff in coordinating and marketing all open houses during the year to ensure sufficient advertising for the event.
- The committee shall keep digital copies of all relevant materials needed for a successful knowledge transfer to successors for the following year. These should be made available on digital media such as a DVD to include both documents and other media produced.
